Kris Lee

Principal/Architect

Kris is a Colorado native and holds a Masters in Architecture from Montana State University. He holds architectural licenses in multiple states and has over 20 year’s experience in creating diverse architecture. His projects include auto dealerships, residential, commercial, municipal, retail, tenant improvements and multi-family housing. Kris takes great pride in his involvement in every project phase from concept through completed construction. Outside the office Kris is often exercising with this wife and their two dogs. In the summer he spends many weekends at the racetrack satisfying his motorsport bug.

Walt Gantt

Architect

Walt’s career started in California in 1987 working with a high-end residential architecture firm. Walt brought this valuable experience to Colorado in 1993 and joined the founding firm (Kenney Associates) now Kenney Lee Architecture Group. Walt loves the challenge of working within constraints. Walt is focused on the client’s goals and finding solutions to design challenges. Walt brings to the firm an expertise in a wide variety of commercial projects, residential, hospitality, entertainment venues such as movie theatres, and industrial projects. Walt combines his deep passion for design with a love of the craft. He believes that the skill of planning, making, and executing architecture is fundamental to ensuring the
quality of the finished product. In his free time, Walt enjoys the lake life of watersports and boating with family and friends, traveling, and remodeling.Walt is a registered architect in the State of California, Colorado, and Arizona.

Brent McKim

Designer

Brent was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Colorado after graduating college. He worked at Kenney Lee for a while before moving to Anchorage AK for a year. Upon returning to Colorado, he worked at a firm in Denver before happily returning to Kenney Lee in 2015. Brent’s focus is on project design. He loves the challenge! Projects large and small he does them all!! Brent has been coaching youth club soccer since 2004 and added youth volleyball in 2019. When he’s not in the office or coaching he enjoys playing golf and volleyball, hiking, camping, traveling and taking care of his pet donkeys.

Walt Gantt

Architect

Jill Black

Architectural Designer

Jill joined Kenney Lee Architecture Group in 2016. She was born and raised in Colorado and holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from the University of Colorado. She has worked for both architects and structural engineers on a part-time basis with experience in both residential and commercial projects. She stays busy with her family and enjoys skiing, traveling, and keeping up with all of the activities of her three children.

Karla Richer

Draftsperson

Karla joined the team in 2022 and IS the welcoming committee. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame and has also studied at UConn and Front Range Community College. She spent three years in the Peace Corps, is married and has two children. She plays an important part in bringing the architect’s designs to fruition.

Betsie Paulus

Office Manager

Betsie joined the founding firm of Kenney & Associates in 2007. In 2014 she made the transition to Kenney Lee Architecture Group. She’s the voice of the firm. She is the first person clients reach via phone and the welcoming committee to those who walk through the door. She handles accounts receivable, accounts payable and human resources. Betsie says she’s surrounded by an incredible amount of talent and enjoys watching projects go from design to completion. By all accounts Betsie is a Colorado native. She loves spending time exercising, traveling with her husband and being a part of what Colorado has to offer!

Jill Black

Architectural Designer
